Artist: Katie Commodore is an interdisciplinary artist who concentrates on creating intimate portraits of her friends, often focusing on how they express their sexuality. In 2000 Commodore received her BFA in illustration from Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2004 she obtained her MFA in printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design. She has had solo exhibitions at Baby Grand, NYC, and SHAG, Brooklyn. Selected group shows include “(Hotel) XX” at Spring/Break Art Show, “IRL: Investigating Reality” and “Secret Garden” presented by The Untitled Space, “FEMME” presented by Spoke Art and Juxtapoz Magazine, SCOPE Art Fair, “StitchFetish 6”  The Hive Gallery, and “Facing the Walls” at The VETs Gallery, among many others. Residencies include ChaNorth, Pine Plains, New York; Red Light Design, Amsterdam, Holland; One Night Residency, London, England. Her artwork has been featured in The New York Times and Dazed Digital, amongst a number of international publications.


Benefitting: [UN]DOCUMENTED is an art auction fundraiser to support some of New York City’s most vulnerable people: The estimated 200,000 undocumented residents who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19.  Proceeds from this auction will benefit the New York State Leadership Council’s Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund, which distributes funds directly to impacted individuals and families.
